School Description & Mission
Sequoia Middle School is one of eight middle schools in the Fontana Unified School District. Over the past few years the student population in the district has changed rapidly. Sequoia currently has a population of approximately 1403 students in grades 7-8. The students come from diverse backgrounds, including 86.3% Hispanic, 6.9% White/Non-Hispanic, 4.3% African-American, and 2.5% Other ethnic backgrounds.The mission of the school as adopted by the entire staff (teachers, administrators, classified, Site Council, etc.) is: Sequoia Middle School will provide a positive, interactive environment which encourages life-long learning and responsibility for academic growth and personal development. |
